In 1971, I was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in the Bronx, NY. At the age of 16, I moved alone to Boston to attend Boston University's School of Fine Arts. I wanted to be an actor! After graduating in 1993, I moved to Kansas City, MO and completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting and Directing. I'm on my way! I met my wife Zoe while in Kansas City and were married within a year and a half. The decision to make security my most cherished value took over and I left acting completely to learn how to use a computer and get an office job.  I have spent the past 12 years in admininstration and even earned an MBA in International Business. Simultaneously my existence as an administrator was rivaled by a second life. That of a man who was in search of transformation, spending hours in prayer and meditation, experiencing extra sensory mystical and healing experiences, spiritual communication with the dying amidst a profound inner struggle to let go of resistance.

On May 17, 2009, while walking from the kitchen in my home to the bathroom  (not a long walk, we have a small house) to speak to my wife who was brushing her teeth, a scene from the movie Superman flashed before my eyes. It is the moment when Clark Kent became Superman.  

Clark knew his life was changed forever and his mission had truly begun. Clark had no choice but to act. He said to his mother “I have to leave”. His mother said “ I… knew this time would come. I knew it from the day I found you”.

I turned to my wife and said “I have an idea for a book. I want to call it, “The Superman Effect: The Quest for the Moment When Everything Changes” I jumped on my computer and starting typing.
